Peter’s visions and his way of thinking beyond big have made Angry Birds a lethal competitor to Hello Kitty and Disney in markets around the world- at points Angry Birds brand was the fastest growing brand in the world, growing more than Google and others. AB has taken over markets where others haven’t succeeded, being China’s most loved brand with amusement parks and pirates copying all they can.
Peter is known for his unusual tricks in marketing and brand management – amongst others taking the best pirated goods from Shanghai to headquarters in Helsinki and telling his team to make better ones, or having his wife wear a tailor-made AB ball gown to the President’s Independence day Gala.
Before joining Rovio, Peter has founded several companies and projects, including Connected Day, Some Bazaar, HP Bazaar and Mobile Monday, which links players in the mobile scene from Around the world together.
Peter also plays a crucial role in building the startup ecosystem in Helsinki and the region – he continuously helps young entrepreneurs, is a coach at Startup Sauna, and drives Slush conference, which he also founded, forward.
