“Right here, right now! Let´s go for a Pioneers Challenge”

Right here, right now we are introducing a series of contributions to familiarize you with some chosen topics around the Pioneers Festival. Pioneers Festival is an unconventional Start-up Festival focusing on the Start-up Community and making it the center of attention. For those of you who didn’t know, we are happy to explain: Pioneers is the successor of last years STARTUP WEEK and we are looking not only to meet last years success, but (of course) outrank it.

Anyway, to cut to the chase (the thing with Start-ups being the center of attention and stuff): We’re mounting a festival including different formats catering to your specific needs. Evidently we are not doing the classical panels. On the contrary we’re having a Founders Clash, the Startup Academy (more info coming up) and the Startup Challenge.

Well we all know the most important things for a Start-up: The best team, the best product, devotion and passion, but there’s this one thing that keeps coming up all the time: Where’s the money? We need that stuff, day-to-day life is not for free and all those pesky things need to be paid. Pre-Seedfunding? Seedfunding? Business Angel? Venture Capital? Sponsorships? Well, depending on the phase it’s possible, but we think that a little unconditional cash injection doesn’t sound bad at all. That’s the spirit of this year’s Startup Challenge at the Pioneers Festival plus, based on your feedback we designed the Investors Day – a day just for start-ups and investors to connect surrounded by perfect conditions: Besides fame and glory the winner will receive 25.000 EUR cash, no questions asked. We think that that’s a good deal. The one thing you’ll have to do is sign up, pitch your idea, convince the jury and 25.000 bucks are yours!

Last year about 500 Start-ups signed up for the challenge, 50 of them made the cut and finally mySugr won the whole thing with some serious problem solving. Those guys have been soaring ever since: Investments, industrial partners, App launched, diabetics helped… plain awesome!
I’d say: Sign up, get some mentoring, experience the Investors Day, pitch for 5 minutes and take home the PIONEERS AWARD and 25.000 EUR cash!
